Vera Laporeva gives numerous concerts as a soloist and as a chamber musician in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Marocco, Switzerland, South-Africa and China. She performs in famous halls such as the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Mozart-Saal Alte Oper Frankfurt, Institute Polonais Paris, Gencor Gallery of Johannesburg, Casinosaal of Wiesbaden and the University of Beijing. Vera makes numerous recordings for the Dutch radio, performs for the German Television ZDF and the Chinese TV-station CCTV. She is regularly present on Dutch Television channels such as NPO1, 2 ,3 & RTL 4.
In 2012 the television, Omroep Flevoland made a tv-portrait of Vera Laporeva that was published on the program “Passion for classic”.
Since 2005 Vera is one of the concertmasters of the Metropole Orchestra. With this orchestra she experienced unforgettable highlights in performances with Al Jarreau, Bono, Chaka Khan, Herbie Hancock and Jacob Collier. Vera plays regularly as a guest concertmaster and section leader with PHION, Luxembourg Philharmonic and the Orquestra Sinfonico do Porto.
As a section musician she recorded with nearly all the famous Dutch artists, such as Marco Borsato and Trijntje Oosterhuis.
Vera Laporeva gave masterclasses to the students of the University of Potchefstroom (South-Afrika), students of the Musikhochschule Hannover (Germany), was guest teacher at the Summeracademy of Friedrichsdorf (Germany) and regularly gives chamber music masterclasses in Arosa (Switserland). Among others she is regularly coaching the Jong Metropole Orchestra.
Since 1996 Vera is the violinist of the internationally renowned ERASMUS Trio. In the same year she was prizewinner of the International Charles Hennen Competition (The Netherlands). Vera performs on a violin from Carlo Antonio Testore from 1751.
How it began:
Vera was born in a musical family. She mostly spend her childhood in the Bolshoi Theater of Minsk (Belarus), where her parents both worked as musicians in the orchestra. At the age of 7 she started playing the violin and she was rapidly admitted to the special music school in Minsk for talented children. Vera gets violin lessons from L. Kolos and at home from her stepfather Aleksandr Khramouchin, who always was her best teacher and coach.
Vera continues her studies in the Netherlands with W. Liberman (at that time concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) and in Belgium with the 1st prizewinners of the Queen Elisabeth Concours, Ph. Hirschhorn and M. Bezverkhny. She finished her studies with N. Morozowa at the Conservatory of Rotterdam.
