Avishai Cohen & Metropole Orkest

In May 2025, the worlds of Avishai Cohen, Metropole Orkest and Jules Buckley will come together during six concerts in the Netherlands, Belgium. and Germany.The trio will perform at TivoliVredenburg, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, Palais des Beaux-Arts de Charleroi, Amare and Het Concertgebouw.

Avishai Cohen, known for his unmistakable style and technical perfection, is regarded worldwide as one of the most influential bassists of our time. His captivating compositions and virtuoso playing have earned him a loyal fan base and critical acclaim globally. Both privately and in his music, he connects styles from all corners of the world. Since being discovered by Chick Corea, he has worked with greats like Bobby McFerrin and Alicia Keys. However, Avishai Cohen’s own compositions and his physical playing might leave the most lasting impression. DownBeat magazine called Avishai “a jazz visionary of global proportions.” Bass Player magazine declared him one of the 100 most influential bassists of the twentieth century.
