At the North Sea Jazz Festival, Cécile McLorin Salvant reunites with Metropole Orkest for a special collaboration. Known for her storytelling, musical imagination, and distinctive repertoire, Salvant moves effortlessly between jazz, blues, chanson, and soul. Together with the orchestra, her songs are presented in a rich orchestral setting in which her stories and characters truly come to life.

Salvant is known for her personal interpretations of jazz standards, original material, and lesser-known repertoire, seamlessly connecting tradition and innovation. With the Metropole Orkest, the program becomes one full of contrast and dynamics: from intimate, fragile moments to full orchestral arrangements in which her voice remains at the center.
